The VIAS Dendro-laboratory has a wide range of recovery and investigation facilities for wood finds of all kinds.
In addition to our cooperation in scientific projects, our know-how and our equipment are of course also available to companies and individuals.
Thanks to a cooperation with the Institute for Paleontology, University of Vienna, we have the opportunity to carry out complex structural analyzes using state-of-the-art scanning electron microscopes, apart from the traditional disciplines of wood species identification and dendrochronological dating. Another focus is the collection and preparation of fossil woods and the performance of underwater prospection.
