Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning
VIAS applies terrestrial 3D laser scanners (RIEGL LMS Z420i, RIEGL LMS Z210) combined with digital cameras since 2003 for the systematic documentation of stratigraphic excavations, the production of digital terrain models and the documentation of standing monuments.
Latest research is focused on the complete 3D documentation of stratigraphic excavations and the documentation of prehistoric and historic mines.
